Project Plan
Combining various types of artforms such as Painting, Printmaking, Installation, Performing Art, Video Art, Sculpture, Photography, and Digital Media in an exhibition and launching in several venues simultaneously, we hope this innovative approach would link the challenging and modern art scene into an organism or entity that would be active and alive in order to enliven the whole national cultural scene.
Project Aim
Art is no longer just a hobby, an expression of personal taste and supported only by a small art market in major cities. Art is becoming an important tool for modern and well-rounded societies to propagate ideas, teach good values, to educate the masses and to question pre-structured rules. Art has been and will continue to be, a great incubator for design, architecture, film, music and digital media. Art has always been the platform for ideas without necessarily having a pragmatic purpose. Playful “trial and error” allows for natural exploration and experimentation toward new possibilities. This nurtures not only art itself, but also other creative industries. Art is now becoming an important part of peoples’ lives.
Through the expansion of the exhibition venue, a field of creative freedom is created for the artists to create various forms of art, as we can divide different forms into different areas for specific viewing experiences but at the same time link the exhibiting spaces under one banner thus the idea of this experimental project can be fulfilled. Artworks displayed must also be provocative and challenges the common artworks that are being produced.
Project Structure
There will be an installation of live-transmission in every exhibition venue. This is not a new concept of exhibiting as it has already been popularized in foreign countries especially in Design Exhibitions; visitors can watch the live situation of every venue by being in just one space. The installation expands the possibilities of multiple locations, and increases the interaction of visitors with the exhibition.
The coverage of the exhibiting venues can be as small as the Klang Valley or as big as the whole Malaysia. Covering most of the states to create an Art Festival would be a big and complicate project though it is a future target as to enhance our culture and art.
Besides installing the system in the exhibition venues, we can also take the system out-doors and we can promote live art performances in the streets or an amphitheater. Just like the TV transmission, you don’t need to be at the scene to watch the show, but in one of the gallery spaces as you can see what is happening everywhere Live.
